The Brondell Swash bidet seat you're looking at is designed to fit most North American elongated toilets. To ensure you purchase the correct size, please measure the distance from the bolt holes to the front of the toilet bowl. If your distance is between 18in and 19.5in – order an Elongated seat, if your distance is between 16in. and 17.75in – order a Rounded seat.

• What tools are needed for installation?
You do not need special tools to install the Brondell bidet seat. You might need a screwdriver to remove your current toilet seat, and a standard wrench could help loosen any tight water supply connections. For the bidet installation, we recommend hand-tightening the connections to prevent any damage. Using Teflon tape (also called plumber’s tape) is a great way to ensure a leak-free seal.

• What is the length of the power cord? Can I use an extension cable?
The power cord lengths of Brondell bidet seats range from 3.5 feet to 4 feet. If your outlet is farther away, a grounded 15-amp extension cord can be used.

• Does the wand ever get in the way of business?
No, the washing wand only extends during the cleaning cycle. At all other times, it is hidden inside the unit to avoid being contaminated. As a further safeguard, the wand gets cleaned with a high-pressure spray before and after each use.

• Would it just spraying when someone walks by? And how does it handle small children?
The bidet seat is equipped with a safety sensor that ensures a wash does not start unless you are seated. This sensor is not a weight sensor; it detects contact with the skin. We recommend turning off this sensor when using the bidet with children, as they may be too small to make proper contact with the sensor. • How difficult is it to install?
