TOTO MS642234CEFG#MBL Nexus One-Piece Elongated Toilet with a Slim SoftClose Seat, Matte Black
Frequently Asked Questions
• Does this listing include an electronic bidet seat?
This listing includes the Slim SoftClose seat described in the product information. SoftClose slows the lid and seat as they close; it does not add heated seating, water washing, or other electronic bidet functions. A compatible WASHLET is a separate upgrade.
• How do I check whether the toilet will fit my bathroom?
Measure from the finished wall, excluding the baseboard, to the center of the floor drain or closet bolts and compare it with the model's rough-in. Also check the overall projection, side clearance, and shutoff-valve position. Use a different rough-in adapter only if this exact toilet is approved for it.
• Does the toilet need electricity for an ordinary flush?
The basic trip-lever gravity flush does not need an electrical outlet and can operate while the tank has water. An electronic bidet seat or a separately added powered flushing accessory needs electricity for its own functions.
• Can I leave cleaning tablets in the tank?
TOTO advises against in-tank bowl-cleaning chemicals because they can damage internal seals and fittings and cause leaks. Clean the bowl separately with a non-abrasive product and a soft brush, and follow the ceramic and seat care instructions.
The TOTO Nexus One-Piece Elongated 1.28 GPF Universal Height Skirted Toilet with CEFIONTECT (an ultra-smooth glaze that prevents dirt from sticking) features a sleek and clean high-profile design, upholding TOTO's vision to create a culture of comfortable, healthy living. The TOTO Nexus features a modern, one-piece design that will instantly elevate any bathroom decor.
The one-piece design is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offers the benefit of being easier to clean versus a two-piece toilet. By removing the gap between the tank and bowl, dirt and debris have no place to hide. An additional benefit of the one-piece toilet is that there is no threat of leaks from bolts or gaskets that can occur in two-piece toilets.
The skirted design of the TOTO Nexus conceals the trapway, which enhances the fluid design of the toilet and adds an additional level of sophistication. Skirted design toilets also eliminate the need to reach behind the bowl to clean the nooks and crannies of the exterior trapway. The TOTO Nexus features TOTO's TORNADO FLUSH, a hole-free rim design with dual-nozzles that creates a centrifugal washing action that assists in rinsing the bowl more efficiently.
This new version of the TOTO Nexus includes CEFIONTECT, a layer of ceramic glaze that minimizes waste from sticking to ceramic surfaces. This feature, coupled with TORNADO FLUSH, assists to reduce the frequency of toilet cleanings, minimizing the usage of water, harsh chemicals, and time required for cleaning.
This one-piece toilet is designed in TOTO's Universal Height, which allows for a more comfortable seat position across a wide range of users.
This Nexus model is TOTO T40 WASHLET+ compatible for when you are ready to upgrade. WASHLET+ toilets feature a channel on the bowl surface to help conceal your WASHLET+ supply line and power cord creating a seamless integration. This Nexus one-piece model is also equipped with Auto Flush compatibility for when you have upgraded to a TOTO Auto Flush ready WASHLET.
The Nexus comes ready for install into a 12" rough-in, but may be adapted for a 14" rough-in with the purchase of a separately sold adapter. The Nexus meets the standards for EPA WaterSense, and California's CEC and CALGreen requirements. Features a left-hand chrome trip lever and includes TOTO's ultra slim SoftClose seat, SS234.
Additional items needed for installation and use must be purchased separately: wax ring, toilet mounting bolts, and water supply lines.
