• What if my order arrives damaged?
While we take great care in the packaging and handling of orders, we ask that customers inspect all shipments within 48 hours of delivery, and in the rare event that your order arrives damaged, please send us an email with a photo showing the damages (so we can file a claim with the carrier), and let us know whether you prefer a free replacement or a refund.

• Why do you ask for phone numbers during checkout?
Some shipping carriers, especially those handling freight, require a phone number to coordinate your delivery. We respect your privacy and guarantee that any information you provide will never be shared with third parties, except for shipping purposes.

• How should I clean the sink without damaging its finish?
Clean the fireclay surface with mild dish detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth or sponge, then rinse and dry it. Use a cleaner approved for this material for tougher marks. Steel wool, harsh abrasives, and concentrated chemicals can damage the finish; do not use the basin as a cutting surface.

• What cabinet size and countertop cutout do I need?
The listed minimum cabinet width is 18 inches. Allow room inside for the bowl, mounting hardware, drain, and any disposal or other accessories; the cabinet's outside width alone does not confirm fit. Have the installer use the actual sink and its installation template before making the countertop cutout.

• Can I put hot pots directly into the sink?
Avoid setting cookware straight from the stove or oven onto the sink. Use a protective mat or rack rated for the cookware's temperature, and avoid dropping heavy pans against the surface. Houzer also advises running cold water when pouring boiling water into a fireclay sink to reduce thermal shock.
