• What if my order arrives damaged?
While we take great care in the packaging and handling of orders, we ask that customers inspect all shipments within 48 hours of delivery, and in the rare event that your order arrives damaged, please send us an email with a photo showing the damages (so we can file a claim with the carrier), and let us know whether you prefer a free replacement or a refund.

• What about the seat height?
Most standard toilets are 16-17 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, or about 15 inches to the bowl rim. Universal height (or comfort height) toilets, like the one you're looking at, are roughly an inch taller—around 16 inches from the floor to the bowl rim, or 17-18 inches to the seat. Universal height toilets are designed to provide greater comfort for a wider range of users, making it easier to sit and stand, especially for older adults. Keep in mind that while universal height is one of the requirements for ADA compliance, other factors also come into play.

• Is the seat included?
Unfortunately, this toilet does not include a seat. Above is a link to a matching TOTO SoftClose seat you can add to your order, but any elongated toilet seat should also fit this toilet.

• Will I regret not choosing a toilet with a higher flush volume?
Unlikely. TOTO has been working on flushing technologies as if their livelihood depends on it – and in some places, it does. The truth is, it's more about engineering than just volume – think of a car with a smaller engine that can go faster than one with a larger one. TOTO's Tornado Flush technology uses 3-inch flush valves (instead of traditional flappers) to force water into dual nozzles, creating powerful cyclonic rinsing action. This causes the water to spin in a vortex inside the bowl, making sure every part of it is thoroughly cleaned. The pressure from the nozzles improves both cleansing and bowl evacuation. Other innovations include fully glazed, extra-smooth trapways that prevent debris from sticking, extra-large siphon jets, and seamless, concave rim designs – all working together to make this toilet's flush more than enough for jobs of all magnitudes.

• Can I use a Washlet bidet seat with this toilet?
100%. While this toilet is not advertised as Washlet+ ready - it's fully compatible with most bidet seats. However, unlike Washlet+ models, this toilet does not have a pre-drilled channel to conceal the Washlet's water supply hose and power cord.

• My rough-in distance is 11 inches. Do I need a 10-inch or a 12-inch rough-in toilet?
First, measure the distance from the center of the bolts to the finished wall (not the baseboard). With an 11 inch rough-in, you almost always want the 10-inch rough-in toilet. A 12-inch version might hit the wall, but with a toilet designed for a 10-inch rough-in, the worst-case scenario is you'll have about a 2-inch gap behind the tank.
