• Will I regret not choosing a toilet with a higher flush volume?
Unlikely. TOTO has been working on flushing technologies as if their livelihood depends on it – and in some places, it does. The truth is, it's more about engineering than just volume – think of a car with a smaller engine that can go faster than one with a larger one. TOTO's Tornado Flush technology uses 3-inch flush valves (instead of traditional flappers) to force water into dual nozzles, creating powerful cyclonic rinsing action. This causes the water to spin in a vortex inside the bowl, making sure every part of it is thoroughly cleaned. The pressure from the nozzles improves both cleansing and bowl evacuation. Part of the newly redesigned S series, the Washlet S5 features a built in night light, a soft rear spray, rear cleanse, and front cleanse with the option of an oscillating or pulsating stream. The temperature and pressure of the water are adjustable, each with five settings. The controls are located on a slim, wireless remote. Premist wets the surface of the toilet bowl, aiding in the removal of waste and resulting in a better clean.
The S5 model utilizes TOTO's eWater+ system when the wand self-cleans. eWater+ transforms the water into a safe and powerful compound, creating peace of mind by cleaning the inside and outside of the wand before and after every use. The Washlet features a heated SoftClose seat with five temperature settings.
The Washlet features an air deodorizer and a warm air dryer with five temperature settings. The DuoFit tank provides a WaterSense certified dual-flush option with TOTO's DYNAMAX Tornado Flush. The DuoFit harness allows you to select a mounting height of 15 to 19 inches. This provides the opportunity for you to establish a comfortable bowl height for a wide array of individuals. The in-wall unit can support up to 880lbs when installed properly.
The kit arrives ready to be installed within a 2" x 6" stud setting with a 2" x 6" polyethylene waste outlet.
