Frequently Asked Questions
• Does this WASHLET need hot water and an electrical outlet?
It connects to the toilet's cold-water supply and heats the cleansing water inside the seat, so a separate hot-water line is not needed. A suitable grounded electrical supply is required for its powered functions. Check the specified voltage, cord reach, and bathroom outlet requirements before installation.
• Will this bidet seat fit my existing toilet?
Match the bowl shape first, then measure the seat-mounting hole spacing, the distance from those holes to the front of the bowl, and the clearance to the tank. Compare those measurements with this seat's drawing. For concealed WASHLET+ connections, both the toilet and seat must be an approved compatible combination.
• Does the self-cleaning wand mean the seat needs no maintenance?
No. Automatic rinsing assists between uses, but you still need to wipe the seat and lid with a soft damp cloth and follow the manual for cleaning the wand and inlet filter. Keep cleaners out of electrical openings and avoid abrasive pads and bleach on the seat.
• How can I make the washing spray gentler?
Start with the lowest water-pressure setting and a comfortable temperature, then adjust the spray position using the seat's controls. Use the stop control whenever you want to end washing. If the spray becomes weaker than usual, follow the inlet-filter cleaning instructions rather than trying to enlarge the nozzle.
